Many urologic conditions are fairly common. It can be helpful to talk to someone who has a similar experience and that may actually be easier than you think. Try to find someone you know or trust who has experienced the same condition or may know someone who has. This can come from talking to a doctor or using resources like those on the Urology Care Foundation website. Learning more about your condition can help you feel more in control by having the information and tools to help you go forward. We all have awkward moments, right? Well, one way to help make things feel less awkward is to empower yourself within the situation. But the more these things are talked about, the more we can break the stigma on how awkward these conditions really are. Do you have a urinary tract infection? Do you have an overactive bladder? Do you have erectile dysfunction? While these are just a few conditions, it is natural to feel weird talking to someone about what’s going on. It can be awkward to talk about for some people as certain conditions may make people more embarrassed in their daily lives. Get Proactive this Year with a Health Checklist Hug it out!
